Thank you for your interest in our "Learn to Feel Calm" programme. Have a read of this page and if you'd like to join us, get in touch and we can discuss upcoming courses and how to book.
"Learn to Feel Calm" is a series of online workshops, hosted and led by Adam Pearson from Newquay Hypnotherapy. If you are experiencing anxiety and want to find some calm in your daily life - this could really help. We will explore how anxiety happens, and what we can do about it. We'll share knowledge about the brain, practise 'solution-focused' conversations and develop practical skills for being calmer and more confident. Drop us a line here and we can get you involved.
These are wellbeing workshops and they are not designed as therapy or counselling. We will not be discussing trauma or problems, or the past. We will be using a "solution focused" approach, taking the focus away from issues and focusing instead on how we want things to be. If you do have other concerns you can speak to Adam directly about it, or to your GP, social prescribing link worker, or another professional.
Once we’ve agreed a course and a plan, we'll send you a link to a "Zoom" meeting. Zoom is an online method of meeting via video. You can install the zoom app, or just open it in your browser.
Each session will last approximately 50 minutes. We'll discuss session frequency to suit you but it'll be at least weekly. We suggest attending the full series if possible, although you'll also get value from individual sessions.
The session will be led by the session leader, Adam Pearson. There will be some optional activities for you and opportunities to talk with the group. You won't need to say anything unless you want to.
When you join the 'zoom' meeting, your sound and video will be off. The session leader will be able to see that you are present. You can choose when to switch the sound and video on, or not. There is a also a 'chat' option where you can type in any questions or comments, either to the host, or to other participants.
All the sessions are led by Adam Pearson, who runs CornwellFest. He is a wellbeing trainer and a hypnotherapist.
These wellbeing workshops are not designed as therapy or counselling. While the process may help with these things, we will not be discussing trauma or any mental health concerns other than anxiety. If you have concerns about mental health please speak to your GP, social prescribing link worker, or another professional. Also, because we will be using a "solution focused" approach we will not be talking about problems, difficulties or about the past. We will be taking the focus away from these things and focusing instead on how things might be when they are a little easier or better.
